A draw was scheduled on 18th February under which 121 candidates are invited. Around 102 invitations were extended out to Express Entry Candidates and Labour impact Candidates. While the rest of the invitations were given to business visa candidates.
The candidates were given points for their age, work experience, education, and language skills.
With a minimum CRS score of 301, Alberta invited 200 Express Entry Candidates to apply for Alberta Express Entry Stream. CRS is the evaluation basis to invite eligible candidates. To qualify, candidates must have applied through the express entry program. Similar Draws are being held by the Canadian Immigration department every 2 weeks.
The candidates will get an automatic addition of 600 CRS points if they receive an invitation under this program.
Canadian regions have made changes in accordance with their migration programs so new candidates can in any case immigrate with ease during the Covid-19.
Despite Covid pandemic Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs) kept working for the whole year without any break. Canada has already defined the new immigration plans for 2021-2023 where in they are ready to bring in 80,000 new immigrants per year. BC is still holding weekly immigration draws.
On the other hand, Ontario invited 8,050 immigration candidates for permanent residence in 2020.
